“Train a child in the way he should go and when he is old he will not depart from it” – Proverbs 22:6
For many of the parents who have their child/children in First Baptist Church’s Child Development Center (CDC), we thank you so much for placing your child in our care. And to those who are looking into the possibility of placing your child in our program, we welcome you to come and see our facility and experience the wonderful atmosphere of the CDC program.
We view this as a great honor and a responsibility that we do not take lightly. We look forward to partnering with in the development of your child.
First Baptist Child Development Center Philosophy
The CDC seeks to assist families in establishing a strong foundation for spiritual, intellectual, and overall growth. We are committed to promoting and supporting all aspects of a child’s development in an atmosphere of love and respect.
Our educational program is based on sound principles of child development for children ages six weeks to twelve years. The activities are designed to promote independence and foster development int he social/emotional, cognitive and physical domains. In order to meet these goals we use the Abeka Curriculum, incorporating Bible stories, prayer and song. On Wednesdays of each week we have chapel in the sanctuary.
We have several different programs for early learning. Our full time program provides care from 6:30 am to 6:00 pm. We also offer before and after school care.
